Experienced Construction Superintendent to lead the delivery of Rio Tinto's self-performed civil earthworks capital projects across Amrun, Andoom and East Weipa operations.
Reporting to the Sustaining Capital team, you will lead Construction Leads, operators and trades teams to safely deliver complex civil infrastructure projects including haul roads, creek crossings and tailings dam works.
About You
- 10+ years' civil construction or earthworks experience
- Strong leadership experience managing large field-based teams (40+ personnel)
- Proven background delivering self-perform civil earthworks projects
- Experience leading multiple supervisors or Construction Leads
- Strong knowledge of earthmoving plant and equipment
- Mining and remote FIFO experience highly regarded
- SAP and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Long-term opportunity (>12 months)
- FIFO roster (9:5 or 10:4)
- Major mining infrastructure projects
- Work across multiple Rio Tinto operations in Weipa
- Travel undertaken during work time
