Commissioning Lead (SCADA & Controls) | Tier 1 Mining Client | FIFO  Join a major decarbonisation project delivering a market-leading 220kV transmission and renewable energy network across the Pilbara. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Commissioning Lead (SCADA & Controls) to play a key role in commissioning substations, renewable generation assets, BESS facilities, and advanced power management systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead SCADA and control systems commissioning activities across multiple energy projects.
  • Configure and integrate RTUs, HMI and SCADA systems.
  • Develop and execute commissioning plans, FATs, SATs and acceptance testing.
  • Troubleshoot complex control system issues and optimise system performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, technology and project teams.
  • Update commissioning documentation, drawings and functional specifications.
  • Ensure commissioning activities meet safety, quality and operational requirements.
About You
  • 5+ years' experience in power utility, transmission, generation, or industrial control systems.
  • Strong experience with SCADA, RTUs, HMIs and substation automation.
  • Knowledge of IEC61850, IEC104, DNP3 and Modbus protocols.
  • Experience commissioning control systems within utility or energy environments.
  • Exposure to Siemens A8000, SEL RTAC, SICAM SCC, Ignition or similar platforms highly regarded.
  • Electrical, Electronics, Control Systems or Mechatronics qualification (or relevant trade background).
