An experienced Project Engineer is required to support the delivery of major transport infrastructure projects within a high-performing Pre-Construction team. Working closely with Project Managers and key stakeholders, you will provide engineering, project delivery and contract administration support across a diverse portfolio of road infrastructure projects.
This role will suit an engineer with experience delivering transport infrastructure projects who can work across project controls, contract administration, procurement, stakeholder engagement and project delivery activities.
About the Role:
You will support the delivery of projects from planning and design through to procurement and issue-for-construction documentation. The position combines office-based project coordination with site visits as required and offers exposure to significant transport infrastructure projects across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Project Managers in the delivery of transport infrastructure projects and contracts.
- Monitor project scope, risks, schedules and delivery outcomes.
- Undertake site visits and participate in contractor and stakeholder meetings.
- Maintain project budgets, forecasts and schedules.
- Support procurement of consultants, contractors and suppliers.
- Assist with contract administration, variations, extensions of time and claims management.
- Manage project expenditure, progress claims and financial reporting activities.
- Maintain project records, documentation and compliance requirements.
- Support effective stakeholder communication and project reporting.
- Ensure quality, environmental and governance requirements are achieved.
About You:
To be successful, you will have:
- A Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) accredited under the Washington Accord or recognised by Engineers Australia.
- Current RPEQ registration.
- A minimum of eight years' experience delivering transport infrastructure projects.
- Experience in project delivery, contract administration and contractor management.
- Experience with project scheduling, cost control and project reporting.
- Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A current Class C Driver Licence.
Contract Details:
- Contract from 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2027
- 2 x 12-month extension options available
- Up to $138 + Super per hour
