About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a well-established, purpose-driven organisation on the Mid North Coast to appoint an exceptional Chief People & Culture Officer to its executive leadership team.

This is a career-defining opportunity for a high-performing HR executive to shape and elevate the people strategy across a complex and values-led organisation. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Board, you will play a pivotal role in driving organisational performance through strong leadership, cultural transformation, and strategic workforce initiatives.

You will lead a contemporary People & Culture function, ensuring the delivery of commercially astute, high-impact outcomes across the full employee lifecycle. This includes influencing organisational design, strengthening leadership capability, and embedding a high-performance, values-aligned culture.

We are seeking an accomplished and driven leader who thrives in dynamic environments and brings both strategic insight and operational excellence. As a trusted advisor and key partner to the CEO, you will be instrumental in delivering a measured growth and strategically important transformation agenda.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead and deliver the organisation’s people strategy, ensuring it aligns with overall business objectives, values, and future direction. Acting as a trusted adviser to the CEO and Board, you will provide guidance on workforce planning, organisational design, leadership capability, culture, and people-related risk. You will work closely with leaders across the organisation to build capability, strengthen leadership confidence, and support effective organisational change through clear communication and engagement.

You will also take ownership of the full People & Culture function, including employee relations, compliance, and workforce planning. This will involve overseeing performance management, workplace matters, and investigations, while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and industrial obligations. In addition, you will lead recruitment and onboarding strategies, drive learning and development initiatives, embed effective performance frameworks, and champion a positive, inclusive workplace culture. Oversight of HR operations, reporting, systems, and processes will also form a key part of the role, ensuring the delivery of accurate data, meaningful insights, and efficient people services across the organisation.
