Contact Centre Officer – Parramatta

Location: Parramatta CBD 
Contract: Initial 6-month assignment with strong potential for extension
Work Arrangement: Full-time onsite during training, then hybrid  (6 days per month in the office)
Hours: Full-time rotating roster, 8-hour shifts between 8:00am – 6:00pm
Pay Rate:$41 per hour + Super

About the Role
As a Contact Centre Officer, you will be responsible for managing inbound customer interactions across multiple channels, including phone, email, and online communications. You will assist customers with enquiries, complaints, and follow-up requests while striving to achieve first-contact resolution wherever possible.

The role involves supporting a diverse customer base, including potentially vulnerable members, requiring empathy, professionalism, and the ability to adapt your communication style to meet individual needs.

About You
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous contact centre experience is highly advantageous.
  • Strong customer service focus with a genuine desire to help people.
  • Confidence engaging with customers and stakeholders, maintaining a professional and friendly phone manner.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Proven ability to manage challenging conversations with professionalism, empathy, and resilience.
  • Understanding of the financial services industry is advantageous.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
