Are you an experienced Business Case Development Specialist with a strong track record of securing funding, resources and organisational support for major programs?
We are partnering with a leading WA infrastructure organisation delivering a significant growth initiative focused on enabling critical power infrastructure to support new housing developments across Western Australia. This high-profile program is helping unlock future communities and accelerate housing supply through strategic network investments.
As program demand continues to grow, an opportunity exists for an experienced professional to develop compelling business cases that support investment decisions, resource expansion and long-term program success.
The Opportunity
Working closely with program leaders, finance teams and key stakeholders, you will be responsible for developing robust business cases that secure additional funding, workforce capacity and operational resources.
This role will suit someone who can blend strategic thinking, analytical capability and stakeholder engagement to build evidence-based investment recommendations that influence senior decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of business cases seeking approval for additional funding, workforce growth and operational resources.
- Gather, analyse and document business requirements, assumptions and supporting evidence.
- Develop cost-benefit analyses, financial models and investment justifications.
- Partner with program managers, finance teams and operational stakeholders to understand current and future delivery requirements.
- Prepare approval papers, reports, presentations and governance documentation.
- Support workforce planning, resource forecasting and demand analysis activities.
- Ensure recommendations align with organisational objectives, governance frameworks and strategic priorities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Proven experience developing business cases within complex project, program or operational environments.
- Strong analytical, financial and problem-solving skills.
- Experience preparing funding submissions, workforce business cases or resource justification documentation.
- Ability to build compelling investment arguments supported by quantitative and qualitative evidence.
- Excellent written communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working with finance, governance, project delivery and executive leadership teams.
- Previous experience within infrastructure, utilities, government or large-scale transformation programs will be highly regarded.
- Relevant qualifications in Business, Commerce, Project Management or a related discipline.
