Key Responsibilities
- Leading end-to-end process mapping across regulatory workflows (applications, approvals, compliance, enforcement)
- Analysing process efficiency and effectiveness, identifying bottlenecks, duplication, delays, and manual interventions
- Assessing compliance, monitoring and enforcement frameworks to ensure alignment with regulatory intent
- Reviewing ICT systems, tools, registers, and data platforms supporting regulatory operations
- Evaluating how systems enable timely, consistent, evidence-based decision-making
- Conducting risk-based analysis of regulatory processes and supporting systems
- Assessing system usability, integration, and data quality
- Evaluating workforce capability and capacity in relation to regulatory delivery
- Benchmarking processes and systems against best practice and comparable regulators
- Synthesising qualitative and quantitative insights into clear, evidence-based findings
- Producing high-quality deliverables, including process maps, system assessments, and executive-ready reports
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to validate insights and recommendations
- Strong experience within the offshore oil and gas sector
- Demonstrated involvement in organisational, functional, or corporate services reviews
- Expertise in business and systems analysis
- Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
- Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and executives
- Ability to develop evidence-based findings and recommendations
- Experience working in regulatory, policy, assurance, or review environments
- Experience reviewing corporate functions such as HR, finance, procurement, or ICT
- Knowledge of APS governance frameworks, policy, or service delivery
- Experience in operating model design, organisational design, or business improvement
- Must hold, or be able to obtain, an Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance
