About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Bridge / Structural Draftsperson to provide technical drafting support across bridge and structural documentation. This role will suit someone with strong AutoCAD capability, a high level of attention to detail, and experience working with civil, structural or bridge drawings. You will be involved in reviewing consultant drawings, supporting updates to standard drawings, and helping ensure documentation is accurate, compliant and well managed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide drafting support
- Review bridge and structural drawings prepared by consultants to ensure accuracy, correctness and conformity with Main Roads standards
- Provide technical drafting services using AutoCAD and related software
- Assist with the update and maintenance of standard drawings
- Coordinate the transfer of new and updated guidelines to the intranet and website
- Assist with the storage and retrieval of bridge design models and plans
About You
You will be a detail-oriented draftsperson with strong technical documentation skills and the ability to work accurately with engineering drawings and standards.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, or an equivalent level of skill, knowledge and experience
- Considerable experience in structural drafting
- Strong AutoCAD skills and experience using related drafting software
- Knowledge of bridge drafting standards, processes and documentation requirements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to check drawings for accuracy and compliance
Desirable Experience
- Experience undertaking detailed checking of drawings, calculations and technical documentation
- Previous experience working with Main Roads WA standards or similar government infrastructure standards
- Experience with bridge design models, drawing registers or document management systems
