Machine Operator – Kooragang Island, NSW

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join their team based on Kooragang Island, NSW. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong technical aptitude and a commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

About the Role In this role, you will be responsible for operating control panels, managing production processes, and ensuring all plant operations run efficiently and safely. You will play a key part in maintaining product quality and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate control panels including 25kg, tonne bag, and RBLO systems
  • Safely operate fixed and mobile plant equipment and assist in product manufacture
  • Monitor production processes and apply quality control techniques
  • Perform data entry and processing tasks using systems such as SAP
  • Complete I-Audit requirements and implement control actions where required
  • Understand plant processes, troubleshoot operational issues, and identify contamination risks
  • Inspect products and materials to ensure they meet established standards
  • Conduct cycle counts, including Bulk Cut Outs (BCOs), and maintain accurate documentation
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
  • Follow all safe work practices and report hazards promptly
About You
  • High attention to detail with a strong work ethic
  • Demonstrated mechanical or technical aptitude
  • Experience operating plant equipment and control systems (highly regarded)
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with SAP or similar systems
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
