We are seeking a qualified Auto Electrician to join our Final Test team in a full-time role.
This position operates under the applicable Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) and requires a qualified tradesperson with strong automotive electrical experience, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to quality and safety standards.
This is a long-term opportunity with a 6-month probation period.
ABOUT THE ROLE This role sits within a Final Test automotive environment where accuracy, technical skill, and independent trade execution are critical. You will be working as a classified tradesperson under the EBA, completing diagnostic, testing, and finalisation tasks across a range of automotive electrical systems.
Permanent role (subject to 6-month probation).
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Perform automotive electrical work in a Final Test environment
- Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
- Independently plan and sequence job tasks
- Take precise measurements using appropriate instruments
- Mark out, set up, and prepare trade work
- Select and use appropriate tools, materials, and equipment
- Operate tools and machinery safely and correctly
- Complete trade work independently to required standards
- Test and inspect work against specifications
- Support team learning and knowledge sharing where required
- Qualified Auto Electrician
- Federal or Victorian apprenticeship indenture OR Tradesperson Rights Certificate
- Strong automotive industry experience (highly regarded)
- Ability to work independently in a structured environment
- Strong attention to detail and safety focus
- HR licence advantageous
- Must provide copies of trade certificates prior to commencement
- Must pass pre-employment medical and reference checks
- Must have full Australian working rights
- Must meet EBA trade classification requirements
- $45.37 per hour (EBA rate)
- Permanent full-time role (subject to 6-month probation)
- Stable Final Test automotive environment
- Occasional additional hours available (no standard overtime entitlement)
