We are seeking an experienced Asset Maintenance Officer to join a local government based team with an ASAP start. This field-based role will involve a variety of construction, maintenance and inspection activities across Council-owned buildings and facilities.
Working from the BSC Depot on Southern Cross Drive, you’ll work a 6.30am start on a 9-day fortnight and play an important role in delivering safe, quality maintenance services to the local community.
Duties
- Assist with construction, maintenance and inspection programs for client assets.
- Undertake general building, labouring and maintenance duties as required.
- Assist with asset inspections, identify maintenance requirements and contribute to maintenance schedules.
- Operate plant, machinery and equipment safely and in accordance with relevant licences and procedures.
- Complete work orders, timesheets, TfNSW records and WHS documentation accurately.
- Provide professional customer service to internal and external customers.
Skills and Experience
- Class C driver licence – essential.
- White Card – essential.
- Demonstrated experience in general labouring and maintenance within the building industry.
- Forklift licence, or willingness to obtain.
- Experience and confidence working at heights.
- Ability and willingness to participate in an on-call roster.
- Ability to safely operate plant and equipment and follow WHS procedures.
- Good communication, customer service and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer literacy, including email, spreadsheets and electronic forms.
