An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced ICT Procurement Officer (APS6 equivalent) to join a high-performing Finance and Procurement team within a Federal Government environment.
This role sits within a central corporate function responsible for ensuring the efficient, effective, and ethical management of organisational resources, aligned with Commonwealth legislative and policy frameworks.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality procurement services, with a strong focus on ICT procurement, while ensuring compliance with relevant financial and procurement regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate, timely procurement advice in line with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and PGPA Act
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs and support early engagement and planning
  • Support delivery of procurement activities that ensure value for money and proper use of resources
  • Act as a procurement subject matter expert, particularly across ICT procurement activities
  • Maintain procurement records and systems including TechOne and BuyICT
  • Manage AusTender processes, including approaches to market, panel arrangements and reporting
  • Develop and maintain clear, user-friendly procurement documentation and guidance
  • Support contract management and supplier relationships, ensuring compliance and reporting obligations are met
  • Promote best practice procurement, compliance, and governance standards
  • Contribute to a positive team culture aligned with organisational values and diversity principles
About You
  • Demonstrated experience in government procurement, ideally within ICT
  • Strong understanding of Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and PGPA requirements
  • Ability to provide clear and practical advice to stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational and documentation skills
  • Experience working with systems such as TechOne, AusTender and BuyICT
  • Please note all applicants must be an Australian Citizen and hold a current baseline clearance. 
Highly Desirable
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Government Procurement and Contracting (or working towards)
  • Formal training in Commonwealth procurement compliance frameworks
