About the Role
A fantastic opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Project Advisor to support the delivery of strategic initiatives within Infrastructure Management & Delivery. This role is suited to a proactive and highly organised professional with strong project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills. Working closely with senior leaders and project teams, you will contribute to the successful planning and delivery of priority initiatives while ensuring effective governance, communication, and stakeholder collaboration across a complex government environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of strategic projects within agreed timeframes, budgets, and quality standards
- Develop and maintain project documentation including project plans, risk registers, action logs, and progress reports
- Monitor project performance and identify, escalate, and manage project risks and issues
- Provide high-level project advice and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders
- Analyse complex issues and contribute to the development of practical solutions and strategic responses
- Prepare briefing notes, reports, correspondence, and other project-related documentation
- Assist in the development of policies, frameworks, and operational guidelines relevant to project delivery
- Develop and implement communication and engagement activities to support project objectives
- Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders across government and industry
- Prepare high-quality communication materials including presentations, newsletters, project updates, and web content
- Coordinate workshops, meetings, and consultation sessions to support stakeholder engagement and project outcomes
- Ensure project activities comply with relevant legislation, policies, procedures, and governance frameworks
- Maintain accurate project records and support effective information management practices
- Assist in the preparation of governance documentation, executive briefings, and ministerial submissions
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Experience delivering or supporting strategic projects within government, infrastructure, or related sectors
- Strong written communication and stakeholder management capabilities
- Ability to provide sound advice and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience preparing governance and reporting documentation for senior stakeholders
