About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Project Advisor to support the delivery of key initiatives within the Heavy Vehicle Access Program. This role will suit a strategic and solutions-focused professional with strong project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and communication capabilities. Working closely with the Program Manager and Principal Advisor, you will contribute to the successful planning, delivery, and governance of complex projects that support critical transport and infrastructure outcomes across Queensland.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Coordinate and deliver projects within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Develop and maintain project documentation including project plans, risk registers, and status reports
- Monitor project progress and proactively identify and manage risks and issues
- Provide high-level project advice and recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Analyse complex issues and prepare briefing notes, reports, and correspondence
- Contribute to the development of policies, frameworks, and operational guidelines
- Develop and implement communication and engagement strategies
- Build strong relationships with government agencies, industry representatives, and community stakeholders
- Prepare high-quality project collateral including presentations, newsletters, media releases, and website content
- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and consultation activities to support project outcomes
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and governance requirements
- Maintain accurate project records and information management practices
- Assist with executive and ministerial reporting and submissions
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Experience delivering complex projects within government or infrastructure-related environments
- Strong written communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to provide strategic advice and manage competing priorities
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience preparing governance documentation and project reporting
