Rate:$69.21 – $75.09 per hour
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Communications Advisor (AO5) to join a major infrastructure program on a long-term contract based in Buderim.
This role is ideal for a communications professional with experience supporting major infrastructure projects and a strong background in strategic communications, stakeholder engagement and community relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic communications advice and support across infrastructure projects.
- Develop communication strategies, stakeholder engagement plans and risk assessments.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with government agencies, project partners, contractors, community groups and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate community engagement activities, media responses and issues management.
- Plan, develop and deliver communication campaigns, events and engagement activities.
- Prepare executive correspondence and communication materials.
- Ensure compliance with governance requirements, policies and procedures.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience in a strategic communications or community engagement role, ideally within transport, infrastructure or civil engineering.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Experience in public relations, media management, executive correspondence and community consultation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to adapt and work effectively in a dynamic project environment.
Desirable Qualifications
- Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or Marketing.
- IAP2 Certificate in Engagement (highly regarded).
