AO4 Review Support Officer
Brisbane CBD | Hybrid Working Arrangement
$60.05 per hour + Super
6-Month Contract with Possible Extension

Our client, the Office of Industrial Relations (OIR), is seeking an experienced and highly organised Review Support Officer (AO4) to join the Review Support Unit within the Workers' Compensation Regulator.
Reporting to the Team Leader, Review Support Unit, you will work autonomously to provide high-quality administrative and business support services that contribute to the effective management of workers' compensation review matters. This role also contributes to key recommendations arising from the Best Practice Review of Workplace Health and Safety Queensland.

Key Responsibilities
Case Management
  • Assist with managing reviews awaiting allocation.
  • Process and manage Right of Appearance requests.
  • Prepare and maintain insurer files for allocation to Review Officers.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to obtain and verify information required for review files.
  • Triage new review applications, ensuring accurate validation, classification and identification of priority matters.
  • Conduct introductory calls with applicants and relevant parties.
  • Coordinate referrals to legal panel providers and manage electronic file transfers through the Quatrix portal.
  • Create, maintain and update review and appeals records across relevant systems and databases.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Deliver professional and efficient customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate clearly and sensitively regarding review processes, legislative requirements and case-related matters.
  • Work collaboratively within a team environment to support the efficient conduct of review matters.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to business improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate across teams to maintain the integrity and accuracy of review data and classifications.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, procedures, KPIs and customer service expectations.
Team Contribution
  • Contribute positively to a culture of accountability, collaboration and professionalism.
  • Demonstrate behaviours aligned with organisational values and standards of conduct.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
  • Strong administrative and data entry experience.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional customer service and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with electronic records, databases or case management systems.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Skills and Knowledge
  • Administrative data entry and business administration experience.
  • Knowledge of government administration processes.
  • Experience providing high-level customer service in a regulatory, insurance, legal or public sector environment.
