Chandler Macleod is seeking an experienced Administration Officer to support Rio Tinto’s Engineering and Infrastructure function. In this role, you will provide key support across maintenance, operations, engineering, and capital projects.
You will play an integral part in ensuring smooth logistics, effective communication, and strong operational alignment, while working within a collaborative team that values precision, initiative, and teamwork.
What You'll Do
- Provide administrative support to leaders and teams across the department, while collaborating as part of a wider administration team to share knowledge and support cross-functional needs across the site
- Coordinate and manage all travel and logistics for the Engineering and Infrastructure department including maintenance, operations, engineering, and capital projects by handling end to end arrangements such as bookings, itineraries, and expense tracking to support workforce mobilisation and project delivery
- Organise logistics for meetings, site visits, and departmental activities, ensuring alignment with operational schedules and safety requirements
- Use business software applications (for example word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet tools) to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, and minutes
- Receive, screen, and direct incoming calls, visitors, mail, and email
- Maintain departmental files, records, calendars, and diaries
- Manage service requests and stakeholder interactions ensuring timely resolution and support
