Administration & Events Coordinator
State Government | Short-Term Assignment (July – October 2026)
$60+ per hour + super | Coburg-based with travel across metro Melbourne

This short-term assignment plays a key role in supporting event operations across multiple locations, contributing to the successful delivery of a large-scale, statewide sporting event.
Reporting into the program team, you will provide hands-on administrative and operational support across a range of event functions. This is a varied role involving coordination, stakeholder engagement and on-the-ground event support.

If you are an organised and adaptable coordinator with strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
You will thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy contributing to team outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting event operations and logistics across multiple venues
  • Assisting with volunteer coordination and workforce support
  • Providing customer support and responding to participant enquiries
  • Maintaining event databases and administrative records
  • Assisting with stakeholder liaison and communications
  • Supporting implementation of the communications plan
  • Contributing to the coordination of event-day activities
This role will be primarily based in Coburg, with travel required across suburban Melbourne in the lead-up to and during the event.

You will ideally demonstrate:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders and team members
  • Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic environments
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Problem-solving capability aligned to established processes and frameworks
  • Experience supporting events, programs or service delivery teams
Requirements
  • Mandatory: Current Working With Children (WWC) Check
  • Desirable: Qualifications in Sport, Events or a related discipline
