We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a dynamic and supportive finance team based in Kempsey. You will play a key part in supporting the day-to-day financial operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, while working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial processing.
Duties
- End-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing
- Maintenance of accurate financial records, invoicing, receipts, and reconciliations
- Processing invoices, payments, refunds, and banking activities
- Weekly reporting including debtor and purchase order reports
- Small payroll processing (approx. 30 employees) including retail payroll support
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and month-end processes
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant / Accounts Officer role
- Strong knowledge of AP, AR, invoicing, and payroll processes
- Experience using accounting software (e.g. Xero or similar)
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)
