Engagement Type: 3 month contract with potential extension
Roster & Hours: 9 day fortnight, 40 hours per week
Work Arrangement: Weipa based or FIFO from Brisbane on offer
 
About the Role
Our Client, Rio Tinto, is seeking an experienced Specialist Document Controller to support a short-term documentation backlog based in Weipa, working primarily from the Electrical Workshop in town.
 
We welcome applications from candidates local to Weipa, as well as those open to FIFO arrangements from Brisbane. Rio Tinto is keen to consider all suitably experienced candidates to determine the best fit for the role.
 
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the clean-up and close out of an existing documentation backlog
  • Capturing, registering, filing, and maintaining project documentation
  • Managing document control processes including version control and document registers
  • Supporting teams with accurate and compliant document management practices
  • Ensuring documentation is stored and maintained in line with required standards
  • Liaising with stakeholders to ensure timely flow and retrieval of information
 
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Proven experience in a Document Control role
  • Strong attention to detail and high levels of organisation
  • Confidence working independently to manage workloads and priorities
  • Experience using document management systems
  • A practical, hands on approach to clearing documentation backlogs
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders
