About the Opportunity

A well-established and fast-growing Australasian distribution and intelligent supply chain business is entering an exciting new phase of operational growth. With a strong foothold across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific, the business is consolidating and expanding its Melbourne logistics capability to support an increasingly complex and diverse customer base.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior leadership role with genuine end-to-end ownership -- not just running the day-to-day, but shaping the operational foundation the business will scale from.

The Role
Reporting to the Regional Director (Australia, NZ & Pacific), you will lead all Australian logistics operations across warehousing, transport and customer services, with full P&L accountability and responsibility for integrating and optimising a consolidated Melbourne-based logistics platform spanning two distinct business units.

This is as much a transformation role as it is an operational one. You will be accountable for bringing people, processes and systems together under one unified operation while continuing to deliver exceptional service to a diverse customer base.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Leadership

  • Own and deliver a consistently high customer experience, meeting and exceeding agreed SLAs

  • Establish and integrate new warehouse sites including layout design, labour models and operating workflows
  • Develop and implement SOPs, service levels and reporting frameworks across sites
  • Drive alignment of teams, cultures and capabilities through a period of significant change
People Leadership
  • Build, lead and develop high-performing teams across warehousing, transport and customer service
  • Develop workforce plans aligned to volume changes and business growth
  • Set clear performance expectations, accountability frameworks and development pathways
  • Foster a culture of safety, teamwork and continuous improvement
Technology & Process Improvement
  • Lead the evaluation and implementation of WMS, TMS and other supporting logistics applications
  • Ensure strong data integrity and system governance across platforms
  • Identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency and customer value
Business Growth & Customer Enablement
  • Support business development with operational input for new customer opportunities
  • Lead customer onboarding and transition into Australian operations
  • Represent the business in the Australian logistics market
Health, Safety & Sustainability
  • Lead WHS performance and compliance across all Australian operations
  • Drive a proactive safety culture with a focus on continuous improvement and risk mitigation
About You
  • Proven senior operational leadership experience in a 3PL or complex logistics environment
  • Demonstrated experience establishing, integrating or consolidating warehouse operations
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including P&L management and contract oversight
  • A track record of leading change, transformation and business integration successfully
  • Hands-on experience with WMS and TMS platforms
  • Strong people leadership skills with the ability to build and inspire high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels
  • Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or related discipline preferred
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma or structured continuous improvement methodologies an advantage
What's on Offer
  • $160,000 - $180,000 base + super
  • A genuine leadership mandate with full P&L ownership
  • A role at the centre of a business in real growth mode
