Project: Huntly Water Supply Project
Role Purpose An excellent opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to take a key technical leadership role on a significant water supply infrastructure project in Western Australia.
You will provide mechanical engineering leadership, technical assurance, and design oversight across water treatment and water reticulation systems, supporting delivery from options analysis through to detailed design and execution. Working closely with the Project Engineering Manager and engineering service providers, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring safe, operable, and high‑quality engineering outcomes.
Contract & Location
- Rate:$110 – $130 per hour + super
- Contract: 12 months | 40 hours per week
- Location: Booragoon‑based
- Site Travel: 1–2 days per week to Pinjarra Refinery or Huntly Mine Site
- Work from Home: Typically 1 day per week

Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior mechanical engineering leadership and technical assurance
- Undertake mechanical design review and oversight across project deliverables
- Coordinate with engineering service providers to ensure compliant design outcomes
- Contribute mechanical input to options analysis and detailed design
- Support cross‑discipline integration with civil, electrical, and process teams
- Support the Project Engineering Manager on technical and delivery matters
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Washington Accord recognised)
- 7+ years’ experience in mechanical engineering roles
- Strong background in engineering design and design management
- Experience in mining, alumina, or mineral processing environments
- Excellent technical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Must be residing in / and have full work rights to work in Australia
