Project: Pinjarra & Wagerup Tailings & Water Storage Dams Projects
Role Purpose An exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to provide technical leadership and engineering assurance across tailings distribution, dust suppression, water management, and associated infrastructure on major sustaining capital projects in Western Australia.
You’ll play a critical role within a live operational environment, ensuring mechanical engineering solutions meet the highest standards of safety, operability, and performance across complex mining and heavy industry assets.
Contract & Location
- Rate:$110 – $130 per hour + super
- Contract: 12 months | 40 hours per week
- Location: Flexible base at Booragoon, Pinjarra, or Wagerup
- Site Travel: 1–2 days per week

Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior mechanical engineering leadership and design oversight
- Deliver mechanical design review and technical assurance
- Integrate mechanical scope with civil and electrical disciplines
- Support delivery of sustaining capital and brownfield projects
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve coordinated outcomes
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Washington Accord recognised)
- 7+ years’ experience in mechanical engineering roles
- Strong background in engineering design and design management
- Experience in mining, mineral processing, or heavy industrial projects
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Must be residing in / and have full work rights to work in Australia
