Rate: $79.18 – $84.56 per hour + super

About the Role
An opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Communications Advisor to support a major infrastructure program within the South Coast Region. This role is responsible for delivering high-level external engagement and communications services, including community engagement, media relations, public affairs, and stakeholder management. You will also lead a small Communications and Engagement team, providing strategic advice to senior stakeholders while ensuring strong, consistent communication with the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver community engagement and stakeholder management strategies across the region
- Lead and mentor a small team to produce clear, consistent communications materials
- Provide strategic media, engagement, and communications advice to senior leaders
- Identify and manage communication risks and issues
- Work closely with project teams to ensure proactive and effective messaging
- Build and maintain relationships with community, industry, and government stakeholders
- Support high-quality correspondence and public-facing communications
About You
- Demonstrated experience in a senior communications or engagement role
- Strong leadership and team management capability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in government or infrastructure environments highly regarded
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and provide strategic advice
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
