About the role -

We are seeking an experienced Seed Production Planner to coordinate and oversee seed supply chain planning activities across Australia and New Zealand. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate SAP master data management, inventory control, production planning coordination, and distribution alignment from toll processors through to 3PL partners.
The position plays a critical role in ensuring on-time, in-full product availability, supporting S&OP processes, managing product lifecycle risks, and representing the Seed Planning function across operational and transformation initiatives, including the Differentiated Steering Project.
 


Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Supply Coordination
  • Coordinate end-to-end seed production and supply planning from paddock through to finished goods distribution.
  • Work closely with seed suppliers, toll processors, production teams, logistics providers, and warehouse partners to ensure timely and compliant supply outcomes.
  • Ensure finished goods availability meets customer demand in full and on time, while managing lifecycle risks and dysfunctional stock.
  • Act as a primary contact for inventory management, processing planning, and distribution coordination.
  • Support preparation for Demand Review and S&OP meetings through accurate planning inputs and inventory insights.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the fortnightly End-to-End (E2E) Seed Supply meetings, including preparation, facilitation, and action tracking.
 
SAP Master Data & Inventory Management
  • Ensure accurate creation and maintenance of SAP master data aligned with operational requirements.
  • Coordinate periodic Bill of Materials (BOM) reviews to maintain product costing accuracy.
  • Oversee inventory reporting across raw materials, semi-finished goods, finished goods, and consumables.
  • Maintain data integrity across planning and supply chain systems.
 
Stakeholder & Partner Engagement
  • Build strong working relationships with third-party seed suppliers, toll processors, component suppliers, and logistics partners.
  • Collaborate closely with Seed Production, Supply Operations, Customer Experience, and Sales teams to align production and distribution outcomes.
  • Support warehouse coordination to ensure compliance with seed storage requirements (dry, cool, clean, pest-free conditions).
  • Work with internal teams to manage stock positioning across warehouse locations.
 
Governance & Compliance
  • Ensure all Purchase Requisitions, Goods Receipts, and Invoice Receipts are processed in line with procurement and contractual requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory obligations, stewardship requirements, and operational governance frameworks.
  • Contribute to development and review of risk assessments, RACIs, SOPs, and process documentation.
  • Maintain accurate process mapping and centrally stored workflow documentation supporting seed supply operations.
 
Project Support – Differentiated Steering Initiative
  • Represent the Seed Planning function within the Differentiated Steering transformation program.
  • Support data cleansing, migration, validation, and testing activities within SAP environments.
  • Develop training documentation and process maps supporting system changes.
  • Deliver key user training aligned with new SAP system processes.
 

Skills & Experience Required

Essential
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in production planning, supply planning, or supply chain coordination roles.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP ERP systems(master data, planning, inventory).
  • Experience across manufacturing, logistics, agriculture, chemicals, or regulated supply environments.
  • Demonstrated capability managing inventory control and production planning activities.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across cross-functional teams.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to make informed decisions using planning data and production metrics.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
