Contract: Short‑term leave cover – up to 19 June
We are seeking an experienced infrastructure professional for a short‑term backfill role to cover a period of annual leave.
This is a streamlined position, with responsibilities scoped specifically for the short duration of the placement.
The role focuses on maintaining continuity across infrastructure maintenance, contract oversight, and capital works delivery, ensuring essential services and projects continue to run smoothly during the leave period.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversight of infrastructure maintenance and minor capital works activities
- Manage and liaise with contractors to ensure works are delivered safely, on time and within scope
- Monitor progress of existing capital works projects and support delivery through to key milestones
- Review contractor performance, documentation and compliance requirements
- Provide clear reporting and handover updates to internal stakeholders
- Respond to operational issues as required to maintain service continuity
- Experience managing infrastructure maintenance and/or capital works projects
- Strong understanding of contract management and service delivery
- Ability to work autonomously in a short‑term, backfill capacity
- Practical, solutions‑focused approach with strong communication skills
- Local government or public‑sector experience (highly regarded)
