Chandler Macleod is recruiting an experienced Project Manager on behalf of a well established construction contractor based in Strathfield, NSW. This is a permanent, onsite role overseeing the delivery of construction projects from award through to completion.
Reporting to senior leadership, you will be accountable for end to end project delivery including program, cost control, procurement, subcontractor management, WHSEQ compliance, and client stakeholder management. This role requires a strong commercial mindset, hands on leadership style, and the ability to mentor engineers while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full project lifecycle delivery including planning, programming, budgeting, and resourcing
- Manage subcontractors, procurement, contracts, variations, EOTs, and RFIs
- Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, and quality systems across all project phases
- Build and manage strong client and consultant relationships
- Oversee project reporting, progress claims, cash flow, and final accounts
- Mentor and manage Project and Site Engineers
- Drive construction methodologies, staging plans, and practical completion outcomes
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within construction
- Strong understanding of contracts, cost control, and risk management
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capability
- Solid WHS knowledge with a proactive safety leadership approach
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
