Chandler Macleod are seeking an experienced Project Engineer – Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (ECI) to support a high‑value, priority project for our client, a Tier One iron ore miner. This is an 18‑month contract role based in Perth, with regular site engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate functional safety workshops in collaboration with design teams, third‑party specialists, asset management, operations and maintenance.
- Manage ECI scope to ensure compliance with project requirements while maintaining fit‑for‑purpose design outcomes.
- Support technical queries through site inspections, data review and investigation of existing facilities.
- Provide on‑site technical support during construction and oversee electrical and control system installations.
- Coordinate and complete formal reviews of ECI design and project documentation.
- Contribute to commissioning strategies and provide commissioning support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering, or relevant electrical trade qualification.
- Proven experience delivering brownfield construction projects (minimum 3–5 years).
- Strong technical capability in on‑site electrical and controls integration.
- Able to commit to the full duration of the project.
- Open to Perth‑based or coastal residential candidates.
- Standard roster of 5:2, transitioning to 8:6 during peak installation periods (approximately 4 months).
- Regular travel to site and fabrication facilities is required.
