Procurement Lead
Collingwood Location | $65–70 per hour + super | Contract to 9 August

We’re partnering with a local government organisation to recruit an experienced Procurement Lead for a short-term contract through to 9 August.
In this role, you will lead procurement operations, overseeing sourcing and contract management activities while ensuring compliance with governance and probity requirements. You will also provide guidance to stakeholders to support effective, value-driven procurement outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead procurement activities across a variety of sourcing projects
  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including market approach, evaluation, and contract negotiation
  • Oversee contract management to ensure compliance and delivery of value
  • Provide advice to stakeholders on procurement best practice, governance, and probity
  • Apply value for money and whole-of-life costing methodologies
About You
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, governance, and probity requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in sourcing, contract negotiation, and commercial management
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess markets and inform procurement strategies
  • Proficiency in procurement systems and tools
  • Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Highly organised with strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently within established frameworks
  • Experience in ICT/DTS procurement is desirable
