Payroll Officer | 4‑Month Contract
Immediate Start | SAP SuccessFactors | End‑to‑End Payroll
Our client is a large Financial Services organisation who are seeking two experienced Payroll Officers to join their team on a 4 month contract through to the end of September. These are hands‑on, end‑to‑end payroll roles not administrative positions and are suited to payroll professionals who can confidently step in and manage complex pay cycles from day one.

This role is ideal for a true payroll specialist with deep Australian payroll knowledge and proven SAP SuccessFactors (Employee Central Payroll) experience, who enjoys working autonomously in a fast‑paced environment.

About the Role
You will be responsible for the accurate and compliant delivery of payroll for a large, multi‑award workforce. Operating as a trusted subject‑matter expert, you will manage full pay runs end‑to‑end and resolve complex payroll matters independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • End‑to‑end payroll processing for a complex, multi‑award workforce
  • Independently run full pay cycles, including off‑cycle and ad hoc payments
  • Process long service leave, annual leave, and termination payments in line with legislation
  • Ensure compliance with the Fair Work Act, NES, Awards, and Enterprise Agreements
  • Confidently operate SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll without guidance
  • Accurately interpret and apply Awards and payroll legislation
  • Reconcile payroll data and resolve discrepancies promptly
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and line managers to resolve payroll queries
  • Support month‑end and year‑end processes, including STP reporting
  • Maintain accurate employee records and audit trails
  • Assist with payroll reporting and analytics as required

About You
Essential (all criteria must be met):
  • 5–6 years’ end‑to‑end payroll experience in a complex environment
  • Demonstrated, hands‑on experience with SAP SuccessFactors (Employee Central Payroll)
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, Fair Work, NES, Awards, and EAs
  • Proven experience calculating and processing long service leave
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • High attention to detail and accuracy under deadlines
  • Positive, proactive approach and strong collaboration skills
Desirable:
  • Experience in a specialist or analyst‑level payroll role
  • Exposure to payroll environments with multiple Awards or Enterprise Agreements
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Payroll Administration or Accounting
