Chandler Macleod is partnering with Rio Tinto Weipa to recruit a  Parts Consolidation Officer  to support maintenance activities across Heavy Mobile Equipment and plant operations within Northern Operations. These site‑based roles are critical to ensuring parts availability and minimising downtime across scheduled maintenance programs.

About the role

Based in Weipa within Rio Tinto’s Northern Operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the receipt, consolidation and distribution of parts to support safe and efficient maintenance execution across site. This is a full time, residential role operating on a 9 day fortnight roster, offering stability and the opportunity to be part of a close‑knit site community.

What you’ll do

• Receive, collate and distribute parts for scheduled maintenance programs
• Ensure timely delivery of parts to minimise equipment and plant downtime
• Work closely with maintenance and operational teams to resolve logistical issues
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse and site logistics functions

What we’re looking for

• Forklift Licence and Manual C Class Driver’s Licence
• Experience in warehouse, logistics or site‑based operations
• Strong safety focus with a demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
• Effective communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Desirable

• SAP experience
• HR Licence
• Logistics or supply chain qualifications
• Advanced Excel skills

Please note: This is a residential role based in Weipa. Only candidates with full working rights in Australia who are currently residing in Weipa will be considered.
