Participation Assistant/Disability Educational Support 
$35 per hour + super | Ongoing casual
Broadmeadows, Cremorne, Docklands & Essendon locations | Flexible hours - Mon to Fri
Note: This role requires flexibility to work across multiple locations, so the ability to travel between sites is essential.

We are seeking Participation Assistants to support students with disability or additional learning needs to access and participate in education and training.
This role provides in-class and learning support under the direction of a Disability Liaison Officer and focuses on engagement, comprehension, and building student independence.
Please note, this position does not involve personal care or behavioural support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support student engagement and understanding of course content
  • Reinforce instructions, break down tasks, and scaffold learning
  • Encourage participation and independence without completing work for students
  • Communicate regularly with staff and Disability Liaison Officers
  • Complete basic student feedback and progress reports
  • Follow safety, privacy, and child-safe requirements
About You:
Essential:
  • Experience supporting people with disability or additional learning needs
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to follow direction and maintain professional boundaries
Desirable:
  • Qualification in Disability, Education Support, or similar
  • Experience in education or training environments
Working Conditions:
  • Ongoing casual role with variable hours
  • Monday to Friday between 7:00am and 7:00pm
  • Smart casual dress, closed-toe shoes required
