Outage Scheduler – Contract (Start ASAP)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Outage Scheduler to support a major planned outage program at Callide B Power Station. This is a project‑based contract role with immediate commencement, supporting planning activities now and execution later in the year.
This role would suit a scheduler with experience in power generation, heavy industry, mining, or complex maintenance environments, who is comfortable working closely with multiple stakeholders to develop and manage detailed outage schedules.

About the role
Reporting to the Outage Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimising the master outage schedule across the planning, execution, and close‑out phases.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Developing detailed outage schedules using Primavera P6 (preferred) or Microsoft Project
  • Integrating approved scopes into a structured, logic‑linked schedule
  • Establishing milestones, dependencies, and critical path
  • Validating durations and sequencing with engineering, maintenance, operations, and contractors
  • Maintaining and updating the schedule, identifying risks and constraints
  • Providing progress updates, forecasts, and schedule reporting during execution
  • Supporting schedule close‑out and capturing lessons learned

Engagement loading profile
The expected workload for this role is:
  • Schedule Development: 4 weeks – full‑time
  • Pre‑work / Schedule Refinement: 16 weeks – 1 day per week
  • Pre‑Outage & Execution: 10 weeks – full‑time
    (includes 2–3 weeks pre‑outage plus execution period)
  • Post‑Outage Close‑Out: 1 day – as required

Skills & experience
  • Demonstrated experience as an outage or shutdown scheduler in heavy industry or power generation
  • Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
  • Solid understanding of outage planning and execution environments
  • Ability to interpret technical scopes and translate them into practical schedules
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple disciplines

  • Location: Callide Power Station, QLD (hybrid flexibility depending on project phase)
  • Start: ASAP
  • Engagement: Project‑based contract
