Outage Planner – Contract (Start ASAP)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced  Outage Planner  to support a major planned outage program at Pinjar Power Station. This is a project‑based contract role with immediate commencement, supporting planning activities.
This role would suit a Planner with experience in power generation, heavy industry, mining, or complex maintenance environments, who is comfortable working closely with multiple stakeholders to develop and manage detailed planned outages.

About the role
Reporting to the Planning Lead, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimising the master outage schedule across the planning, execution, and close‑out phases.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Developing detailed outage schedules using  Primavera P6 (preferred)  or  Microsoft Project
  • Integrating approved scopes into a structured, logic‑linked schedule
  • Establishing milestones, dependencies, and critical path
  • Validating durations and sequencing with engineering, maintenance, operations, and contractors
  • Maintaining and updating the schedule, identifying risks and constraints
  • Providing progress updates, forecasts, and schedule reporting during execution
  • Supporting schedule close‑out and capturing lessons learned

Skills & experience

  • Demonstrated experience as an outage or shutdown scheduler in heavy industry or power generation
  • Strong proficiency in  Primavera P6  or  Microsoft Project
  • Solid understanding of outage planning and execution environments
  • Ability to interpret technical scopes and translate them into practical schedules
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple disciplines

Location & engagement

  • Location: Pinjar Power Station
  • Start: ASAP
  • Engagement: 6 month project‑based contract
  • Monday – Friday (7am – 3.30pm)
