Operations Lead – Aged Care (ICT, Projects & Contract Management)

Role Overview
The Operations Lead provides senior operational leadership to Omnicare’s aged care services, ensuring systems, contracts, and projects effectively support high‑quality, compliant, and sustainable service delivery.
This role has responsibility for operational performance, ICT enablement, project delivery, and contract oversight, working closely with executive leadership, care leaders, and external partners. The Operations Lead plays a critical role in translating strategy into operational outcomes, strengthening systems, and driving continuous improvement across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
  • Provide leadership and oversight of non‑clinical aged care operations
  • Ensure operational systems and processes support safe, efficient, and compliant service delivery
  • Translate organisational strategy into operational plans and measurable outcomes
  • Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies
ICT & Systems Oversight
  • Lead the effective use and ongoing improvement of ICT systems supporting aged care services
  • Oversee client management, rostering, reporting and compliance systems
  • Act as the key liaison with ICT vendors and service providers
  • Drive system optimisation, user adoption and data integrity
  • Support cyber security, privacy and information governance requirements
Project Management
  • Lead internal projects including system implementations, service redesign, and process improvement initiatives
  • Apply structured project management methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget
  • Engage stakeholders, manage change, and ensure successful adoption of project outcomes
  • Monitor and report on project progress, risks and benefits realisation
Contract & Vendor Management
  • Oversee contracts with external providers, including ICT vendors and service partners
  • Ensure contracts deliver value, performance standards and compliance requirements
  • Manage contract negotiations, renewals, variations, and performance reviews
  • Monitor supplier risk and service continuity
Compliance, Quality & Governance
  • Ensure operational compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant legislative requirements
  • Support audits, accreditation and regulatory reporting processes
  • Maintain effective policies, procedures, and governance frameworks
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and organisational maturity
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Work collaboratively with care leadership, finance, HR and administration teams
  • Provide clear operational advice and reporting to executive leadership
  • Build strong relationships with external partners, suppliers and regulators
Essential Criteria
  • Demonstrated senior operational leadership experience within an aged care provider
  • Proven experience across ICT systems, project delivery and contract management
  • Strong understanding of aged care operational environments and regulatory frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex initiatives and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical, communication and problem‑solving skills
  • Experience working at leadership or senior management level
Desirable Criteria
  • Qualification in Business, Project Management, Information Systems, Health Administration or similar
  • Experience with aged care client management and rostering systems
  • Formal project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, PMP)
  • Experience supporting organisational growth or service transformation

  • Current NSW Driver’s Licence
