About the Role
- Perform maintenance and repair on fixed-plant equipment
- Carry out breakdown troubleshooting and fault finding
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks
- Work safely in a high-risk, heavy industrial environment
- Contribute to a strong team culture and safety-first mindset
- Certificate III in Mechanical Fitting or Fitter & Turner
- Experience with fixed-plant maintenance and rotating equipment
- Experience in mining, alumina, refinery, or heavy manufacturing environments ideally or not mandatory
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
- Strong skills in pumps, gearboxes, valves, conveyors, and motors
- Pipe fitting experience (preferred)
- White Card (essential)
- Physically fit and able to work in hot conditions
- Strong commitment to safety
- Forklift (LF)
- Rigging (RB) or Dogging (DG)
- Working at Heights (within 2 years)
- Confined Space & Gas Test Atmospheres
- Experience in mining, alumina, refinery, or heavy manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with SAP or similar maintenance systems
