Location: Carrum Downs
Hours: 2–3 days per week (16–24 hours), standard business hours (9:00am – 5:00pm)
We are partnering with a well-established business in Carrum Downs to recruit a Part-Time Junior Bookkeeper. This opportunity is being managed confidentially on behalf of our client.
This role is ideal for someone with foundational bookkeeping experience (including exposure to Accounts Payable and Receivable) who is looking to build their skills further within a supportive and structured environment. You’ll gain hands-on experience across a range of finance tasks with guidance from senior team members.
The Role Reporting to senior management, you will assist with day-to-day bookkeeping activities, helping to ensure financial records are accurate and up to date while continuing to develop your skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processing
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Supporting mid-month and end-of-month account balancing
- Raising invoices and assisting with basic client communication
- Maintaining accurate and organised financial records
- Use of the Jim2 ERP system
- Full training and support will be provided, including system training if you have not used Jim2 before
- Some experience in a bookkeeping, accounts, or finance support role
- Exposure to AP/AR processes (even at a basic level)
- A willingness to learn and develop your bookkeeping skills
- Good attention to detail and organisation
- Comfortable using accounting systems and MS Excel
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and time-management skills
