Contract: Short‑term contract through to August 2026
We’re looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join a local government organisation on a short‑term contract.
This is a true HRBP role, partnering closely with leaders to provide practical, hands‑on support across employee relations, change, and people advice.
You’ll work across a broad range of HR matters, supporting managers with confidence while ensuring advice is sound, fair and aligned with employment legislation.
What you’ll be doing
- Partnering with managers to provide practical HR and ER advice
- Supporting employee relations matters, including grievances and investigations
- Interpreting and applying EBAs, Awards and employment legislation
- Supporting organisational change and people initiatives
- Coaching leaders on performance, conduct and people management matters
- Contributing to HR policies, processes and continuous improvement
- Working closely with the broader People & Culture team to deliver consistent outcomes
- Solid experience as an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor
- Strong employee relations experience and confidence handling complex matters
- Good working knowledge of industrial instruments and legislation
- Experience partnering with managers in a fast‑paced environment
- Clear communication skills and sound judgement
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
