Chandler Macleod is currently seeking an experienced  HV Electrician  to join the team at  MTW North Workshop  in the  Hunter Valley. This is a hands-on opportunity for a trade-qualified professional with experience working on heavy mining or construction equipment, offering strong hourly rates and the potential for ongoing work.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance, repairs and fault finding on a range of heavy equipment, both in the workshop and on-site. You will play a key role in ensuring machinery is maintained to a high safety and operational standard to support site productivity.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical maintenance, repairs and breakdown support on heavy mining and construction equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults across a variety of mobile plant and machinery
  • Complete preventative maintenance in line with manufacturer and site schedules
  • Maintain accurate service records and related documentation
  • Ensure compliance with site safety procedures, policies and PPE requirements
  • Work closely with site personnel to prioritise and schedule maintenance tasks

Skills & Qualification
  • Relevant Electrical qualification
  • Previous experience working on heavy mining or construction equipment
  • Current  Order 45 medical, or willingness to obtain
  • Strong fault-finding ability and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • MTW site induction  completed, or willingness to complete prior to commencement
  • Relevant additional tickets and licences will be highly regarded

Site & Safety Requirements
  • Ability to meet site medical, drug and alcohol testing, and PPE requirements
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding industrial environment
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance
