We are seeking an experienced OHS Advisor to join an established Health, Safety and Wellbeing team on a short‑term contract.
This role has a strong focus on workplace emergency preparedness audits, stakeholder engagement, and guiding people leaders through compliance and improvement actions.
You will work closely with managers and staff to review emergency management systems, identify gaps, and support the implementation of practical, best‑practice safety solutions across multiple work sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct emergency preparedness audits across work locations and review emergency management systems
- Identify gaps, prepare clear reports, and support completion of corrective actions
- Provide advice and guidance to managers and staff on OHS obligations and best‑practice safety standards
- Analyse OHS data and trends to support preventative strategies
- Support the management of OHS hazards and risks
- Contribute to the development and delivery of OHS training as required
- Monitor OHS legislative changes and communicate impacts to stakeholders
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to support OHS initiatives
- Assist with maintaining online OHS reporting systems
- Proven experience in an OHS advisory or specialist role
- Strong understanding of OHS legislation, regulations and codes of practice
- Experience conducting site inspections and audits, including emergency preparedness reviews
- Ability to analyse safety data and develop practical improvement strategies
- Excellent communication, reporting and time‑management skills
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Risk Management or a related discipline
- Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent experience)
