Tier 1 Mining Giant | Perth Repair Centre | Rolling 7:7 Roster
A Tier 1 Mining Giant is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Fitter to join their team at the Perth Repair Centre. This is a 100% Perth‑based role(non‑FIFO) offering an even‑time rolling 7:7 roster, excellent facilities, and long‑term stability with one of the industry’s most recognised operators.
About the Role Working within a high‑standard workshop environment, you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing and repair of large mining‑grade mobile equipment. This role offers FIFO‑style time off while remaining local to Perth.
Roster & Hours:
- Rolling 7:7 roster
- Dayshift primarily
- 6:00am – 6:00pm
- Occasional afternoon shift(11:30am – 11:30pm) as operationally required — not the standard rota
- Roster aligns Wednesday–Tuesday or Thursday–Wednesday, depending on crew alignment
- Home every night – Perth based
- Dozers
- Loaders
- Graders
- Haulmax Service Trucks
- CAT 793F & 793D Dump Trucks
- Conduct scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
- Perform diagnostics and fault‑finding on heavy mobile mining equipment
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to OEM and site standards
- Accurately complete maintenance and job documentation
- Work collaboratively within a safety‑driven, high‑performance team
- Trade qualified Heavy Duty Fitter / Diesel Mechanic
- Demonstrated experience working on large heavy mobile plant
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team
- Strong safety mindset and attention to detail
