Position: Geoscientist
Location: Pilbara, Western Australia
Roster: 8:6 Roster
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: $55 - $66 per hour + super on all hours 
Assignment Length: Up to 7 months (until January 2027) 
 
Role Overview:

Chandler Macleod is seeking a motivated Resource Development Geoscientist to join our team in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. This role involves RC and diamond core logging across both in‑pit and ex‑pit environments, working on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Actively participate in day‑to‑day safety practices, meetings, and site interactions
  • Perform geological data collection and logging for exploration and in‑pit drilling programs
  • Interpret downhole geophysical data
  • Conduct geological sampling and maintain QAQC standards
  • Enter and validate geological data for use in geological modelling
  • Adhere to established technical standards, procedures, and company requirements

Qualifications and Experience:
 
  • Previous knowledge of Pilbara iron ore geology or similar geological settings is desirable
  • Experience with geological data processing, QAQC, and data validation
  • Exposure to health and safety systems and processes (e.g. Take 5s, JHAs, pre‑starts)
  • Current Class C manual driver’s licence
