Electrician (Level 2) – Food Manufacturing
Location: Laverton North
Employment Type: Full-Time

We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated Electrician to join a busy food manufacturing environment across our Tanon and Laverton sites. This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining, repairing and improving electrical systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.
About the Role Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor/Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems in line with relevant standards and the Electricity Safety Act 1998 (Victoria). You will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant equipment
  • Fault find and repair complex electrical systems and circuits
  • Maintain and service motors, pumps, lighting, cool rooms, HVAC and processing equipment
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Conduct safety checks and ensure WHS compliance
  • Work collaboratively with production, QA and maintenance teams
  • Participate in on-call roster for breakdown support
About You
  • Electrical trade qualification (essential)
  • Experience in manufacturing or food processing (highly regarded)
  • Strong PLC and instrumentation knowledge
  • Proven fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to safety, quality and compliance
Additional Skills (Desirable)
  • Experience with control systems and instrumentation
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Forklift, EWP or confined space tickets
