About the Role
You will join a high‑volume Building and Development Compliance team, managing a large caseload of customer requests focused on active sites and land‑use enforcement rather than ranger‑style compliance.
The work is field‑based and enforcement‑driven, with a strong emphasis on:
- Investigating unauthorised and illegal land use
- Conducting regular site inspections
- Assessing land‑use classification and compliance outcomes
- Issuing notices, orders and directions under delegated authority
- Preparing legal briefs and supporting court action where required
To be successful, you will bring:
- Proven local council experience in building or development compliance
- Experience of illegal or unauthorised land use matters
- Confidence issuing orders and managing enforcement actions
- Solid knowledge of the EP&A Act and development enforcement processes
- Ability to work autonomously in the field while contributing to a team environment
This is an excellent opportunity to step into a busy compliance environment and make an immediate impact.
