Coordinator Budget and Business Support
Location: Collingwood
Rate:$79 per hour + super
Contract: ASAP – 30 June (with strong potential for extension)

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Coordinator Budget and Business Support to join a large, values‑driven organisation on an initial contract through to 30 June, with the potential to extend.
This is a senior finance coordination role responsible for leading the annual budget process, forecasting, financial reporting, and business partnering across multiple divisions.
You’ll play a key role in supporting executive decision‑making and ensuring strong financial performance across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the preparation and delivery of the annual budget in line with strategic and long‑term financial plans
  • Partner closely with senior leaders to support budget development, monitoring and internal controls
  • Lead quarterly forecasting and reforecasting processes
  • Prepare and analyse monthly financial results, including variance analysis and commentary
  • Contribute to long‑term financial planning(10‑year outlook), including identifying opportunities for improved systems and automation
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for executive and governance forums
  • Provide high‑level financial advice and insights to stakeholders across the organisation
  • Lead and support a team of senior finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance culture
About You: You are a confident, collaborative finance professional with strong stakeholder engagement skills and a strategic mindset.
You’re comfortable operating in complex environments and balancing competing priorities.
You will ideally bring:
  • Extensive experience in senior budgeting, forecasting, reporting and business partnering roles
  • Strong leadership capability with experience supporting or managing qualified finance staff
  • Proven ability to deliver high‑quality budgets and financial reports under time pressure
  • Excellent analytical, communication and relationship‑management skills
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial legislation and governance requirements
  • Experience within local government or a similarly complex public sector environment is highly regarded but not essential
Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or Financial Management(or equivalent experience)
  • CA or CPA qualification (or working towards)
