Rio Tinto is seeking an experienced Construction Lead to support the delivery of sustaining capital civil works in Weipa.
This is a client‑side role, leading both self-perform and contractor civil earthworks as part of an established project delivery team.

The Role
- Supervise and coordinate site-based civil earthworks construction activities
- Lead daily operations to achieve safety, schedule, quality, and cost targets
- Manage contractor interfaces with strong focus on HSE and environmental compliance
- Provide leadership to operators, supervisors, and site teams
- Support delivery of multiple sustaining capital projects
- 5+ years’ experience in civil construction or earthworks supervision
- Strong background in bulk earthworks and scraper operations
- Proven HSE leadership in remote or FIFO environments
- Experience managing contractors and self-perform teams
- Ability to work a FIFO 16/12 roster
- FIFO from Brisbane, Townsville, or Cairns
- All travel on work time and fully paid
- Long-term project pipeline
