This position will see you leading complex transaction processes across a large-scale, multi-stakeholder project environment, working at the interface of government and private sector delivery. You will be responsible for driving transaction strategy, leading commercial negotiations and shaping outcomes that balance commercial objectives with broader public requirements.
Working alongside project teams and external financial, commercial and legal advisors, you will play a critical role in progressing a major infrastructure development through a structured, multi-phase transaction process.
The Role:
In this role, you will take ownership of the end to end transaction process, leading commercial strategy, stakeholder engagement and evaluation activities to support key project outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing transaction strategies across a multi-phase interactive process
- Leading commercial negotiations and establishing commercial principles
- Facilitating workshops with private sector proponents across key areas including design, cost, risk and delivery
- Overseeing the evaluation of proposals, including feasibility, cost estimates, funding requirements, risk allocation and delivery programs
- Driving recommendations for governance and supporting Government decision-making processes
- Overseeing the development of legal agreements to formalise the transaction
- Providing strategic advice to senior stakeholders on transaction progress and negotiation strategy
- Representing the State in meetings, forums and briefings with key stakeholders
- Collaborating across multiple government agencies to ensure alignment with broader project requirements
- Preparing briefing materials for senior leadership and Ministerial requirements
About You:
You are a commercially astute professional with experience operating in complex infrastructure or property environments, with the ability to lead transaction processes and influence outcomes across multiple stakeholders.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale, complex property or infrastructure projects
- Strong capability in transaction strategy, commercial negotiation and stakeholder engagement
- Experience working across environments that balance commercial drivers with government requirements
- Proven ability to engage and influence a broad range of stakeholders, including private sector proponents and government agencies
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and strategic decision-making capability
- Experience operating within governance and risk management frameworks
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at a senior level
Relevant qualifications in property, infrastructure, construction, planning or related disciplines will be highly regarded.
