Construction Coordinator (Civil)

Project:  Tailings & Civil Infrastructure Project

Role Purpose

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Construction Coordinator (Civil) to support delivery of a major civil construction program on a long‑term, site‑based project in Pinjarra.

The project involves construction of tailings ponds/impoundments, bulk earthworks, roads, and large‑scale concrete structures, with an initial civil scope running approximately 18 months and a strong pipeline of follow‑on works. This role is critical to ensuring safety, quality, and schedule performance across a complex heavy‑industry environment.

Contract & Location
  • Rate:$90 per hour + super, plus cell phone allowance
  • Roster: Monday to Friday | 7:00am – 5:00pm (occasional Saturdays)
  • Contract: 12 months with strong potential to extend
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Location: Site‑based role in Pinjarra, WA

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors across major civil construction scopes
  • Oversee delivery of tailings ponds, bulk earthworks, roads, and concrete works
  • Participate in hazard identification and risk assessments
  • Act as the key interface between contractors, operations, and engineering teams
  • Ensure works comply with approved scope, specifications, and standards
  • Monitor progress, quality, and schedule against project requirements
Key Requirements
  • Trade qualification or strong technical background in civil construction
  • Demonstrated experience across bulk earthworks, roads, tailings or impoundments
  • Strong understanding of best practice, codes, and standards for large civil works
  • Proven ability to identify and mitigate risks in complex construction environments
  • Background in construction or heavy industry
  • Must be residing in / and have full work rights to work in Australia
