Chandler Macleod has partnered with our valued client in Shepparton to recruit an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join their growing team. This is a full-time permanent opportunity for a motivated sales professional with strong business development skills and experience within the construction or building industry.
About the Role This role is heavily focused on sales growth, relationship management, and identifying new business opportunities across your allocated region. You will be responsible for managing incoming enquiries, developing a strong sales pipeline, securing project specifications, and converting opportunities into sales outcomes.
You will work closely with internal estimating and marketing teams while building strong relationships with architects, builders, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders. Travel throughout your designated region and interstate will be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across the construction sector
- Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, builders, and contractors
- Manage and grow an active sales pipeline through CRM systems
- Conduct face-to-face meetings, presentations, and site visits
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure project success and lead generation targets are achieved
- Monitor sales activity, opportunities, and performance metrics
- Achieve monthly sales targets and contribute to overall business growth
- Proven experience in business development or sales
- Strong understanding of the construction, building, or related industry
- Confident communicator with excellent relationship-building skills
- Results-driven with a proactive attitude
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a large territory
- CRM experience preferred
- Ability to read construction drawings highly regarded
- Base salary of $110,000 + incentives
