Overview
We are seeking a highly organised Project Support Officer (Project Support Office) to support a government client on the New Albion Station (NAS) project. This role plays a key part in ensuring governance compliance, maintaining process integrity, and delivering high-quality administrative support to enable successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide project support services with a focus on governance compliance, process integrity, and administrative assurance
- Administer financial activities including monitoring expenditure, processing invoices, and managing accounts receivable in line with departmental policies
- Prepare and contribute to project and governance documentation, including briefing notes, reports, submissions, and presentations
- Support process mapping and continuous improvement initiatives, identifying risks and inefficiencies
- Deliver high-level administrative and secretariat support, including records management, correspondence tracking, and shared inbox and diary management
- Maintain electronic filing systems in accordance with information management requirements
- Coordinate meetings, workshops, and governance forums, including agendas, minutes, and action tracking
- Act as a central point of contact for project support enquiries, managing competing priorities and escalating where required
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and project team members to support reporting and governance requirements
- Undertake additional administrative and project support duties as required
Skills and Experience
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and compliance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in financial administration within a project or program environment
- Proficiency in document management systems and Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to support governance processes and maintain structured documentation
- Proactive and solutions-focused approach
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications in project management, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in project support or program administration, ideally within government or infrastructure environments
- Familiarity with governance frameworks, financial processes, and administrative assurance practices
- Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across multiple levels
